Hello Fashion Freaks.

We are on Day 2 of 65th Cannes Film Festival! Oyes!

Jane Fonda, Eva Longoria and Freida Selena Pinto stole the show with their signature styles as they attended the Day 2 Cannes Film Festival Event. The three celebrities of course didn’t fail to wow the crowd  flaunting their super elegant long gown- &&  proving that age is just a number  and has nothing to do with how young or old one is. Being Beautiful is all in the Attitude .

Freida Pinto, 27.  Walked wit her fashionable  lime green Atelier Versace gown on the red carpet.

Eva Longoria, 37.  showed off  some cleavage with her white classy Emilio Pucci dress.

Jane Fonda won my-  THE BEST GOWN.  She was wearing an “Atelier Versace”  proving that she still have that nice curvy shape even at the age of 74.  Can you believe it?  She completed her  glamourous look with a metallic Versace clutch , Chopard jewels and  a peep-toe heels.  I just love love that bronze gown. She looks very Stunning! I hope I’d have that nice figure when I reach that age . :) )

FYI:  The Atelier Versace Fall Gown worn by Jane Fonda was presented last year and I’m pretty sure a lot of you is dying to see it. There you go!

Useful tips to prevent premature skin ageing

The sun’s UV rays can be pretty harsh on your skin, especially during summer. And if you’re not careful enough when you go out of the house during the day, you might find yourself in a serious dermatological problem because of it.

The most common effect of the UV rays on one’s complexion is sunburn and extreme skin dehydration. You may say that sunburn and extreme skin dehydration is nothing to be concerned about, but did you know that sunburns and extreme skin dehydration can cause premature ageing effect on your skin?

Yes, you can actually look older than your actual age if you expose yourself to the harsh UV rays without protection too often. You wouldn’t want that to happen now, would you?

Here’s some tips on how to maintain a healthy skin and prevent premature skin ageing, even when you need to go out of the house and frolic under the sun often:

Moisture is the key to a healthy complexion, so keep your skin moisturised at all times. Drink plenty of water daily to maintain your skin from within, and apply moisturising lotions on your skin generously whenever you go outdoors.
Eat more fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables are skin food. They are something that should always be included in your diet if you want to have radiantly beautiful skin.
Use sunblock at all times when you’re outdoors. sunblock cream or lotions with SPF-25 should suffice, but if it’s too hot outside, sunblock with SPF-50 will definitely be more helpful in blocking those harmful UV rays.
Notice a few wrinkles and fine line? No problem, use anti-ageing products. It’ll help you erase those unwanted fine lines that will make you looks older than you are.

Always remember to take good care of your skin, ladies and gentleman. Keep it moisturised at all times and nourish it with plenty of skin food and skin care products. Taking good care of it will not only make you appear younger, but healthier too.

HOW NICE FOR YOU

Photobucket

I’m trying to take my style (and this site) in a new direction – and thank God Maroon 8 just sent me a some pics of their new collection. The garments are everything I’m looking for at the moment – well tailored, chic and clean with precise, sophisticated lines. So nice – and weird I haven’t heard of this brand before - Apparently it was started by a Peruvian designer called Giovanna Velasquez.

I would love to get my hands on some of the cropped jackets and short capes to style as day looks -
I highly recommend having a look at the website.

Flattering Fashion Styles for Plus-Sized Ladies

In ancient times, plus-sized women were greatly revered, as evidenced by the “statuesque” sculptures from Greek and Roman time. Unfortunately, today this most often is not the case, as magazines and media tout the latest diet fads with images of ultra-thin models. Nonetheless, a woman can still make a fashion splash with a plus-sized figure. One just needs to identify their body type and find the most suitable clothing the highlight the strengths of their figure. Here are some flattering fashion styles for plus-sized ladies.

Full Hourglass Figure

A full hourglass figure equates to at least a size 14, with a well-defined waist that is at least nine inches smaller than the chest and hips. With this type of figure you want to highlight your “assets” while softening your extras. Wear a bright jacket over a shirt and an exotic hip hugging zebra print skirt to create the illusion of slimness. Lengthen the legs with some pointed pumps. You could also wear a swinging V-neck coat to accentuate the cleavage and hide hips. Wear a sweater to wear around to soften broad shoulders and accessorize with an oversized watch to coincide with your fuller figure.

Banana Shape

The banana shape has no definition in the middle. Avoid trying to squeeze tight-waisted dresses or clothing that are suited for the hourglass figure, as they may give you an over-accentuated midriff bulge look. You can also give yourself a more “feminine” shape by choosing pants that fit you at the waist without concern for a looser at the hips. Finally, use low-rise jeans with a long and loose buttoned shirt and tuck it in to give you a flattering looking figure.

Pear Shape

The pear shape is where much of your weight is displaced in your bottom, hips or under thighs. The most flattering style for this figure is to use a belt with full skirt. Choose clothing that accent your top and balance out your figure, such as a shoulder widening “wide-neck” sweater, as well as clothing that accentuates your bottom, such as crop tops and short jackets. Wear a brooch on your shoulder to make your eyes sparkle.

Apple Shape

The apple shape is an all around round shape with hips often the same size as the waist, and a prominent belly. Draw attention away from your middle with loose fitting tops and dresses, as well as longer jackets. Wear bold jewelry to draw eyes upward, a stylish wrap dress to create a waist and add shape, or a flared skirt to add curves.
